Last week I had a tooth removed for the first time in my life other than my wisdom teeth in my teens. Without going into the ugly details, it was not good. Not good at all. In fact the experience was two full hours of not being good. By the time I arrived home I… Continue reading Sometimes Dogs Just Know
Category: Life with Jackson & Tinkerbell
Life with Jackson and Tinkerbell is about my black Labrador Retrievers. They are the inspiration for this blog. I started to develop the Love Laugh Woof lifestyle when Jackson came home as an eight-week-old puppy. I looked at him and realized that he was so new to the world that I could start him off without toxins and chemicals in his life. They are my best friends and constant companions. I like to share their stories to help teach other dog owners. Life with Jackson and Tinkerbell includes plenty of love, fun, and above all, laughter.
Jackson is the strong silent type in a dog body, and Tinkerbell is silly and full of energy. Jackson is sweet and serious and has a naturally serious look on his face. He is the smartest dog I have ever met and consequently tricks Tinkerbell frequently. Tinkerbell is sweet and gullible and falls for Jackson’s tricks all the time. Both dogs know a lot of words and are trained to do things like come running when they hear the tornado siren. They love to go on adventures and walks. Tinkerbell’s mission in life is to play with Jackson and always be by his side.
The blogs in this category showcase the friendship that I have with Jackson and Tinkerbell and the love that spans our species. I hope that by sharing their stories that I can above all encourage other people to develop the same love and friendship with their own dogs because dogs are able to provide so much love. .

I replied that… Continue reading National Sibling Day: Growing Up Dog Lovers
Jackson’s 5th Birthday
In March 2011 I was employed at the home office of a large retail company and we had a class of thirty or so store managers in town for a weekly training class. We taught these classes each month and during class introductions we gave our name, title, department, years with the company and a fun… Continue reading Jackson’s 5th Birthday
Ice, Ice, Zoomies Part 2: The Perfect DIY Block of Ice
Last week I wrote about the joyful play session that Jackson and Tinkerbell enjoyed after we gave them a huge block of ice from on top of our swimming pool cover. Although a chunk of swimming pool ice was great for a one time thing, it definitely does not meet my standards of safe, filtered water… Continue reading Ice, Ice, Zoomies Part 2: The Perfect DIY Block of Ice
Ice, ice, zoomies!
I've heard parents of human children laughing, and maybe complaining a little, as they watch their children dismiss the fabulous and hard to find toy that they received and play for hours with a simple cardboard box. Over the weekend Jackson and Tinkerbell similarly abandoned their selection of US made fancy balls and toys in favor of… Continue reading Ice, ice, zoomies!
